hahaha Ninja Warrior Parkour-Obstacle Course event at RocPK this past weekend. Yes, spot me in there? I was feeling kind of tired+sore after lifting the day before (don’t know what I was thinking…) and really wasn’t moving all too well. Regardless, it was a productive event!
After the event, once I had regained my breath and we were just laying around and goofing, I did my first real proper climb up since my shoulder injury in September. It felt really good, though I couldn’t do it more than twice. I also spent some time getting more comfortable with dive rolls, something I wanted to utilize during the course but opt’d not to (partially because of shoulder, partially because of lack of comfort).
The whole day was a good time. I definitely was glad I participated. I tend to be uncomfortable exerting real effort around people and even though I didn’t exactly give it my all, it put me out of my comfort zone and I definitely felt I grew a bit (in terms of mental fortitude).
